Ambulatory Phlebectomy

We offer this advanced procedure to successfully remove large surface varicosities. During Ambulatory Phlebectomy, the diseased veins are pulled up and delicately removed through very small micro-punctures that do not require stitches. The procedure is often a more efficient way to treat surface veins than using multiple sclerotherapy sessions. The procedure is done under local anesthesia and is relatively painless. Compression stockings are recommended after the treatment and side-effects are usually limited to bruising and swelling around thetreatment sitesfor 1-2 weeks.

Often phlebectomy is performed in conjunction with Endovenous Laser Treatmentwhich addresses the deeper veins. The long term results for these two treatments togetherare very effective.

Advantages of Ambulatory Phlebectomy include:

  • No stitches
  • Virtually no scarring
  • Only local anesthetic
  • Long lasting results
